Testing Android App on USB Connected Devices in Android Studio

You can run your app in android studio on virtual device or usb connected device. In this post, I am going to explain required steps which enable you to test your app on USB connected device in android studio.

First connect your device using usb cable.

Install driver by downloading it from device manufacturer’s website.

Enable developer options by tapping build number several time, you can find build number option in setting > about phone >

After developer options are enabled, turn on usb debugging mode by going to settings > developer options > usb debugging.

Select USB configuration and set it to MTP, you can find the setting by going to settings > developer option.

Now, when you try to run your app in android, you will see usb connected device, select it and run it.
